Behind the Scenes

This week the OVIS Newslab Interns, including myself,  took part in the OVIS Pilot Launch and had the opportunity to connect with the Hayward community and the topics they felt were important to Hayward. During the event, we helped the community share their ideas and in the process, we learned what was important to them. I enjoyed talking to Elisa Márquez about Hayward’s Housing and other community resources and could personally connect with the challenges and solutions that Hayward has taken for the benefit of its citizens. Through this experience, I grasped a deeper understanding of Hayward’s goals and achievements with housing and felt uplifted by the work our city has done and will continue to do.
